First Step Robotics – Terms & Conditions

This Agreement governs your access to and use of:

(collectively, the “Sites” or “Platform”), and any services provided by First Step Robotics (the “Services”), including workshops, clubs, events, and educational content.

By using the Sites or Services, you (“you” or “your”) agree to the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use the Sites or Services. If acting on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind them.

1. General Use and Agreement

This Agreement creates a legally binding contract between you and First Step Robotics. By accessing or using the Platform or Services, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to monitor Platform use to ensure compliance.

We may update these Terms without notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • Your booking is not confirmed until full payment is received.

  • Paid-for bookings will be given priority.

  • Bookings are subject to availability and may be declined at our discretion.

3. Refunds and Cancellations

  • You may cancel your booking up to 7 days before the workshop for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the workshop are non-refundable, unless due to a medical or emergency reason (evidence may be required).

  • If you cancel during a block of pre-paid sessions, no refunds or prorated amounts will be given.

  • Refunds will be issued if we cancel a class due to low enrolment or other unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, venue issue).

  • No refunds will be issued for missed sessions due to personal reasons.

  • For missed sessions due to typical bad weather, we will offer a make-up class or issue a refund.

4. Health and Attendance

  • Do not bring your child if they have had any illness within 48 hours of the class.

  • You must declare all medical conditions at registration and notify us of any updates via email or phone.

5. Behaviour and Safety

  • We reserve the right to remove any participant from a session without refund if they display bullying, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour.

  • While we provide a safe and supervised environment, First Step Robotics is not liable for injury or loss sustained during workshops.

6. Supervision and Responsibility

We provide STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) activities in a supervised setting. Students may work with tools, electronics, or software, which should not be used unsupervised outside of our sessions.
 We are not liable for misuse of these tools outside the workshop environment.

7. Workshop Leaders

Our workshops are run by passionate individuals from a variety of educational and industry backgrounds. While knowledgeable, they may not be certified professionals in every subject they teach.

8. Photography and Media

We may take photos/videos during sessions for use on our website, social media, or promotional material.
 You may opt out during booking or by contacting us at any time via:

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Sites—including designs, text, images, and arrangements—is the intellectual property of First Step Robotics or its partners unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use our content or software without express written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Platform or Services.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
